There are a ton of things to do, shows to see and places to eat in Branson, Missouri. But there’s only one place that has it all – Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex!
Dining, Entertainment and Christmas Shopping in Branson
As a Blogging Branson Ambassador, I was invited to experience an Ozark Mountain Christmas as part of a media trip. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
We’ve all been to places that claim to be the “one stop shop”, but let me tell you Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex is genuinely the only one that lives up to that. On my first visit, I was shocked at how much more than a movie theater the Entertainment Complex was. And honestly, I’d seen it listed on the schedule and didn’t get what it had to do with setting Branson apart from other destinations. But I discovered the reason real quick!
Live Shows at Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex
YES! There are live shows even at the “movie theater” in Branson. But like I said, it’s so much more than a theater. There are shows daily with a new one starting every few hours. Music, comedy, variety shows – There is something for everyone!
During November and December, visitors can get into the holiday spirit with the Sanders Family Christmas show. Based on the well-loved musical, SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN the Sanders Family Christmas show will have you laughing, crying and leave you filled with Christmas joy.
Sanders Family Christmas can be seen Tuesday thru Saturdays on select nights. To check the schedule and purchase your tickets head HERE – Bransonimax.com Sanders Family Christmas

Get All Your Christmas Shopping Done
I love to give one-of-a-kind gifts. So I always try to find stuff on my travels and the shops at Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex are just perfect. On this trip, I may have bought something for myself. I’d been looking for a fun Christmas shirt forever and found as soon as I walked in! It was just waiting for me at The Shadow Box. You will find a ton of cute little things there.
Over at Legacy & Legend Gifts, you’ll find all everything you need to bring a little of the Ozarks home with you. Unique souvenirs, copies of the exclusive IMAX film “Ozarks Legacy & Legend” and some adorable Christmas PJs! I’m still kicking myself for not picking up a pair of those.
See a Movie at Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex
The Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex is a full state of the art movie theater with the largest IMAX screen in the midwest! The screen is unbelievably massive.
You can see Hollywood blockbusters or learn more about the Ozarks in Branson’s own “Ozarks Legacy & Legend”. And I’ve seen Ozarks Legacy & Legends and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You can see a small clip of it in my post – Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex – More than Movies.
McFarlain’s Family Restaurant
Dine on down-home comfort food inside Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex at McFarlain’s Family Restaurant. Keeping with the Ozark theme, McFarlain’s was inspired by the Legacy & Legend film.
You won’t leave hungry as the portions are enormous and the food is delicious, so you’ll want to clean your plate. But don’t say no to dessert! Homemade pies, apple turnovers, and my personal favorite – fried green tomatoes… Um yes, I consider them a dessert. And an appetizer and an entree. Ok, I could just eat the fried green tomatoes and live my best life!
Meet Santa at Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex
From now until December 23rd, 2018 guests can visit Santa at Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex! Every Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm and Sunday from 3 pm to 6 pm Santa. So make sure to give yourself some extra time to tell Jolly Ole Saint Nick what’s on your wishlist this year! Can I suggest show tickets or tickets to Ralph Breaks the Internet, The Grinch or Mary Poppins Returns (in theaters December 19th)?

Bonus Dining Location – Montana Mike’s Steakhouse
We got to kick off our Branson Christmas at Montana Mike’s Steakhouse. There is a wide selection including award-winning steaks, ribs and seafood. The food was tasty, portions generous and the prices are perfect for families. And as a Disney fan, I couldn’t help but compare the decor to my favorite Disney villain. I know Gaston would be proud!
McFarlain’s Family Restaurant and Montana’s Mike Steakhouse along with Florentina’s Ristorante Italiano are owned and operated by the same family. And they have outdone themselves on making sure diners get great food while not breaking the budget.
